All By Myself

Jack is so proud because he can now climb onto and off of his chairs on the porch. He used to either wait for one of us to put him on a chair or he would fall down in his attempts to get on. He loves playing with the farm from Maddy and sits there every day to play. Once or twice I have caught him standing on the table to ring the windchimes!

Big Shoes to Fill

Jack slipped on a pair of Kevin's shoes the other night. He stood there for the longest time with a huge grin on his face. However, when he tried to walk in them, he kept falling over. I have a feeling one day he will easily fit into his daddy's shoes.

Snacking in Style

Jack enjoys his afternoon snack sitting on an extra seat from the Mustang Kevin just purchased. It is a special order FHP Mustang that has been retired for quite a few years. Jack is using one of the cool snack cups his Auntie Karen gave him for Christmas. He is trying to shove as many goldfish into his mouth as he can.

Bubbles!!

Jack has learned what bubbles are this week. At first I would gather some bubbles onto my hand and then show Jack what I had. He would gently touch my hand to feel the bubbles. Now it is a game to get as many bubbles onto his belly as we can before he splashes like crazy. When he is not playing with bubbles he is busy making slam dunks with his hoop set he got for Christmas.

Treadmill

Jack was very curious about the new piece of furniture in the living room. Kevin set it on the slowest speed and helped Jack walk a few steps on the treadmill. This is our birthday present to ourselves. We got it at Play it Again Sports in Gainesville for a really good price. It is used but doesn't look worse for wear except for being a bit dirty. The cats like to sleep on it, I've caught them all dozing on it.

Satellite Beach Visit

Kevin, Jack and I hopped into the firetruck and headed on down to visit my parents in Satellite Beach for the day. Jack got to visit with his grandpa and grandma and auntie Karen. We visited the beach so Jack could see the ocean for the first time. After being a little hesitant at first, Jack warmed up to the big blue and began tracking birds and picking up things in the sand. His favorite being a piece of seaweed. We also discovered Jack loves to play piano! He sat on that bench for quite awhile, marveling everyone with his keyboarding skills. He seems to prefer the minor chords.

It was great to see Mom and Dad again! Jack did a great job on the long ride down there.

Christmas Day

We all had a wonderful Christmas day full of presents, family, and really good food. Jack really got the hang of opening presents and truly enjoyed all of his presents. The toy chest is going out on the porch. We really could use two or three of those things to fit all the toys Jack has now. Luckily the toys he got today will provide fun for him for many years. It was a lot of fun to see Christmas through the eyes of a child, Jack is so much fun to have around.
