Dancing in the Streets

We visited the Williston Air Show on Saturday to check out the highway patrol's booth. Kevin also got his picture taken for his official badge when he gets sworn in. Jack really enjoyed the train ride but what he loved to do was dance to the oldies station. He stood right in front of the speaker and busted a move to every song. Clapping, tapping his feet, and bouncing up and down were his favorite moves.

Everyone who walked by had a laugh as they watched us dance. Some of the senior citizens joined him for a move or two before they moved on.

Mall Playground

Another rainy day finds us at the Oaks Mall enjoying their playground. The first time Jack visited this playground he was a little timid. This time he fought to get out of my arms to start playing. Today he was fixated on the gator, maybe it has something to do with his shirt?

Alachua Park

We met our good friends; Chuck, Dee and Maddie at Moe's for dinner. We all then went to the Alachua park for some good playing. It had rained most of the day but the kids didn't mind. Maddy has conquered the big slide all by herself but Kevin took Jack down for his turn. Even though his face looks a bit scared, he had a great time going down the slide.

He really is happy!
The slide wasn't very slippery.

Maddy gets a little help to get all the way down.

Westside Park

While Kevin was working GatorNationals, I met my friend Brynn at a popular city park. They have 3 different playgrounds, hoping that only kids of a certain age group will play on each one. We tried the 2-5 year old one first but the steps were just a bit too big for him. We then moved the smallest structure. Jack did great climbing the steps and going down the slide. This playground was the perfect size for Jack.
Climbing up to the tallest slide.

Checking out the cute girl as he makes his way up the steps.

Playing in Cocoa Beach

Jack and I visited Grandma and Grandpa Johnson a few weekends ago for a day visit. We went to the Cocoa Beach Arts and Craft Festival. Mom and I had always gone to that when I lived down there and found it a great place for unique jewelry, kettle corn, and beautiful nature photography. They had just built this playground so Jack tested it out. He really enjoyed the swing, getting pushed by all us. His laughter was contagious as he delighted in swinging back and forth. Jack also tried out the slide, finally learning how to sit up straight while he slid down.
